In 2020, I was listed as the first inventor on a pending patent for HaptX for the design of a novel haptic actuator. This actuator combined a rotary tendon retraction mechanism with a variable pneumatic braking mechanism to provide realistic feeling force feedback to a user gripping objects in a virtual environment.
